The Management System’s conformity to the reference standard is checked by means of an audit programme that includes:
- Two-stage kick-off audit
- A monitoring audit during the first year
- A monitoring audit during the second year
- A certification renewal audit in the third year.
When drawing up the audit programme, the size of the organisation, field of application and complexity of the Management System, products and processes, degree of effectiveness of the Management System, results of previous audits, and any certifications already issued to the client, or other audits already carried out, are taken into consideration.
